Glasswalk
On breaking the thing that held me.
Glass shards on the floor Hurting my feet sinking like knives into me
Each step a red coin spent on getting out. The door was always glass. I broke it to leave.
Behind me the house exhales. The walls forget my shape. What kept me is now a sound I cannot hear.
I keep walking. The pain lifts off me like wind, loose and going somewhere else. My feet are bleeding. My feet are free.

The way you beautifully described the pain , left me speechless. It's so beautifully written poem πβ¨π«Άπ» also, it feels like a message of endurance and breaking free. Though it hurts but it's worth it. It's beautiful. Thanks for writing this introspective piece.
